What furniture can you use for cooking in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0.0?

Cooking is one of the many new features added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in Update 2.0.0. Cooking works a lot like DIY, and cooking recipes have now even merged into your DIY app on your NookPhone. In order to cook a specific recipe, you need enough specific materials to make your cooking dreams come true. And instead of using a DIY workbench, you can use specific kitchen furniture. But which ones?

There are a few pieces of furniture that you might expect to be able to cook on, but you can’t. These include campfire cookware (despite the name), wood stove, fire pit, or bonfire. The general theme of furniture that you surprisingly can’t cook on seems to be items that primarily involve an open fire. These items deceptively fall under the “heat and heat” category, one can guess. Small kitchen appliances like microwaves, rice cookers, and toasters also cannot be used for cooking.

On the other hand, the furniture that allows you to cook will be large, with a large flat surface for cooking – much like the DIY workbench itself. This means articles like the clay oven, gas stove, and kitchen system are all ready to go. Usually, if it is definitely a large kitchen cabinet, you can cook on it.
