Behind every great Apple virtual keynote hides an equally impressive collection of modern furniture and tasteful objects from top designers around the world. Browsing through the six Apple events online only, I’ve listed over 100 chairs, sofas, tables, lamps, books, and accessories that fill the sets.
Starting with WWDC 2020, Apple events have gone virtual in response to the pandemic. The film productions that followed featured sweeping views of Apple Park, impeccably detailed interior backgrounds, and an entire mock house staged with sectional views.
Although they are often displayed on screen for a few seconds, the rooms designed by Apple for each event are breathtaking in their depth and variety of settings. Each space has clearly been organized by a team of expert designers and taste makers who appreciate the art of storytelling and have extensive product knowledge.
These sets are not purchased from a catalog. In each part, it is difficult to find more than two parts from the same manufacturer, or even from the same country. In some cases, sets contain vintage items, discontinued parts, and unusual or personalized versions of standard products. The result is a difference that you can feel as well as see. Care is what makes these fictional spaces memorable. Perhaps that is why I received more reader requests for this article than for any other article from the Apple Store Conference Room Modern Furniture Cataloging.
