Popular wood-fired pizzeria adding new location in Columbus area – 614NOW

Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap is preparing to add a third restaurant.

The popular place for pies and wood-fired drinks opened in Newark before launching a location in Pataskala last year.

His third restaurant, which general manager and partner Justin Dager says is expected to open the first or second week of October, will be located at 266 E. Main St. in New Albany, in the former home of Soulshine Tavern.

The restaurant is also owned by Dager’s parents, Mike Sarap and Andre Sarap, and his uncle, operations manager and partner Tom Sheehan. The family group also operates the Red Oak Pub and Restaurant in Newark.

The new 3,000-square-foot space will resemble the pizzeria’s other two locations, but will also bring in several new elements, according to Dager.

“We installed new laminate flooring, a leather granite bar and, like our other locations, a wood-fired pizza oven that comes from California,” he said.

The restaurant will also feature a cooler with multiple transparent walls so customers can peek inside the pizzeria’s extensive beer collection.
